A couple of reviews of TMA Reprints vol 2 from Lulu. THANKS!

By G. W Dodd
A fantastic book reminding us of a time when you had to look things up in a book rather than a search engine. I bought many of these editions at the time but it's nice to have them all together in one place. Packed with useful information and photos the like of which you won't find in any other books or on any website, it's well worth it if you're a fan of The Persuaders! or ITC filmed series. Highly recommended.

Another fabulous time capsule, all handily compiled in one quite hefty book. For fans of the TV series THE PERSUADERS! (as well as all those other cult ITC series) this is a must purchase. Rare photos, behind the scenes chat, interviews, reviews of merchandise (remember the 'ITC Home Video' releases???) Gosh - brings back many pleasant memories. You could do worse than sit in the back garden on a warm summer's evening and read this book....!

The Morning After 11 – 18 Reprints book

The Morning After was established in February/March 1991 as the official The Persuaders!/ITC Appreciation Society by the then copyright owners, the ITC Entertainment Group Ltd.

The society mainly concentrated on The Persuaders! in the club magazine, The Morning After but some issues were 'specials' dedicated to other ITC action-adventure series made in the 1960s and 70s such as The Champions, Man In A Suitcase, Department S and The Baron.

Following on from the successful TMA Reprints 1 - 10 book, The Morning After Reprints 11 – 18 book reproduces issues 11 - 18, issues 1 and 2 of sister publication Nuisance Value and the previously unpublished TMA 28 in their entirety. These issues have long been out of print and were printed in very small quantities. Sir Roger Moore has written the foreword for this volume and many of the images were previously unpublished before seeing the light of day in these issues.

TMA Reprints 11 - 18. 352 pages. £22

Still available - TMA Reprints 1 - 10. 304 pages. £20

The Persuaders! - Italian comic books

The Persuaders! is know as Attenti A Quei Due in Italy - in the mid 1970s, 5 Italian comic books were produced. Issues 1 and 2, and 3 and 4, were collected together and reissued with different cover artwork - both will appear here soon.

The Persuaders! - UK Hardback (Library only) novels

The Persuaders! hardback (library only) versions of Frederick E. Smith's books, published by Ian Henry Publications in Hornchurch, UK in 1976. Originally costings (£2.70 The Persuaders!, £2.75 The Persuaders! Again and £2.85 The Persuaders! At Large). They are now very rare and I think we'd all agree the cover artwork is terrible!

The Persuaders! - Precision video covers

Precision video covers for The Persuaders! compilation films. These cost a small fortune when released - if anyone has the Betamax covers of these please share. These were featured in TMA1 and are shown in black and white in the TMA 1-10 Reprints book.

The Switch - rare UK poster

The Switch was one of the four Persuaders! compilation movies that ITC put together in the mid-70s. This is a UK one sheet quad poster for the film. Enjoy!

How about some Department S vinyl singles?

Edwin Astley was a musical genius! He worked a numerous ITC series over the years and provided many brilliant themes, my favourite of which has to be for the 50 minute episodes of Danger Man. Strangely, not a lot of Edwin's ITC music was issued in the 1960s although Network have addressed this in recent years with their brilliant range of ITC soundtrack CDs and vinyl albums.

Here are a couple of Department S singles (top UK, below very rare Japanese pressing) featuring Cyril Stapleton's cover version of Edwin's theme. Enjoy!
